Campbell, Calif. (January 22, 2014) - Barracuda Networks, Inc. (NYSE: CUDA), a leading provider of cloud-connected security and storage solutions, today announced that David Schwartzberg, senior security engineer at Barracuda, will give a talk at the AppSec California event happening January 27 - 28, 2014, in Santa Monica at the Annenberg Community Beach House.

David Schwartzberg will present a talk entitled "DIY Command & Control For Fun And *No* Profit" on Monday January 27, 2014, at 5:15 p.m. The talk will cover the ZeuS Command & Control (C&C) botnet and look inside the server control panel of a C&C. This hands-on presentation will walk through a very dark corner of the Internet and provide a glimpse of the daily life of a cybercriminal with live malware demonstrations on Windows and Android platforms.

David Schwartzberg is a Senior Security Engineer at Barracuda, specializing in malware, web threats, endpoint and data protection, mobile security, cloud and network security. He has presented at numerous security conferences including GrrCON, THOTCON, DerbyCon, and Security BSides. Schwartzberg currently is blogging for Barracuda Labs, but previously wrote for Dark Reading, and was a guest blogger for the award-winning Naked Security blog. He also published "Computers for Kids: Something In, Something Out" in 2011 and has earned several certifications in the field including CNA, CNE, MCP, Network+, Security+ and CISSP.
