Campbell, Calif., Jan. 27, 2009 – Barracuda Networks Inc., the worldwide leader in email and Web security appliances, today announced it has acquired Yosemite Technologies, a leading provider of data backup and disaster recovery solutions. Barracuda Networks has incorporated the Yosemite Backup technology in its Barracuda Backup Service providing complete Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft Windows state backup at no additional charge. “More than a decade ago, Yosemite Technologies broke new ground in the data backup market launching the well known Tapeware product line,” said Dean Drako, president and CEO of Barracuda Networks. “Yosemite’s rich history in delivering easy to use data backup and disaster recovery technology, combined with Barracuda Networks expansive channel reach will ensure that more companies worldwide benefit from comprehensive and affordable data protection solutions.” Barracuda Backup with Yosemite Backup The Barracuda Backup Service with Yosemite Backup ensures that customers have a complete and affordable backup and disaster recovery solution for all applications including Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server.
