Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall is the Leading Anti-Spam Solution in Market Share in Japan for Fourth Year; Barracuda Web Application Firewall Leads in Market Share and Revenue for Second Consecutive Year. Barracuda Networks Inc. today announced it continues to take the lead in the email and Web application security markets in Japan, according to Fuji Chimera Research Institute Inc. The Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall has held the No. 1 spot for four consecutive years (2005-2008) for email security units shipped in the region. In its “Network Security Business 2009 - Comprehensive Research Report” Tokyo-based Fuji Chimera indicates that Barracuda Networks holds more than 22 percent of the total email security market share in Japan for 2008. Also in the report, Fuji Chimera finds that the Barracuda Web Application Firewall product line leads in both market share and revenue for the Web application firewall market in Japan.
