Campbell, Calif. March 1, 2012 - Barracuda Networks Inc., a leading provider of security, application delivery and data protection solutions, today announced that it has won SC Magazine’s 2012 Reader Trust Award for Best Enterprise Firewall. The announcement was made at the 15th annual SC Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the annual RSA Conference in San Francisco, where Barracuda Networks is exhibiting.

Barracuda Networks won in the Best Enterprise Firewall category after proving the success and overall impact of the Barracuda NG Firewall to the Reader Trust Voting Panel, which is comprised of high-level IT security executives working for organizations across various markets. Products in the Enterprise Firewall category must be organizational firewalls, provide a mechanism to filter incoming and outgoing traffic based on port, protocol, source IP address, destination IP address and have the ability to terminate network traffic based on the aforementioned filtering criteria. Additionally, manageability, ease-of-use and scalability of the Firewall, as well as the customer service, were considered during the judging process.
